Enough. This Is Incompetence, Corruption, and a Betrayal of Justice.

I am writing as an American who is furious, embarrassed, and deeply alarmed at the state of our government. Americans are not angry enough, and our leaders are counting on that. They are counting on exhaustion. They are counting on distraction. They are counting on people giving up while the powerful protect themselves. I am not giving up. The Department of Justice is supposed to be the backbone of the rule of law. It is supposed to protect the public, defend victims, prosecute wrongdoing, and operate independently from political loyalty. Instead, under Attorney General Pam Bondi, Americans are watching the Justice Department become a symbol of incompetence, politicization, and collapsing trust. This is not normal. One of the most disgusting examples is the handling of matters connected to Jeffrey Epstein. Survivors of exploitation deserve protection, dignity, and accountability—not negligence, deflection, and retraumatization. When the government mishandles sensitive information involving victims of sexual abuse, when leadership refuses to take responsibility, and when survivors are treated as an afterthought, it sends a sickening message: that even in the most horrific abuse cases, institutions still prioritize themselves over justice. That is unacceptable. Beyond that, the public sees an Attorney General who appears more focused on protecting political power than protecting the American people. Reports of informal “lists,” political targeting, and backroom loyalty culture—what some have compared to a “burn book” mentality—should terrify anyone who believes the Justice Department must not become a weapon. If these reports are false, then Congress must demand clarity. If they are true, then this is a crisis. Incompetence at this level is not harmless. It destroys faith in law enforcement, in courts, and in democracy itself. And while this dysfunction and scandal unfolds at the highest levels, Americans are being told to accept less. Benefits that keep people alive—healthcare support, food assistance, veterans benefits, basic social programs—are cut or threatened, while billionaires and insiders continue to grow richer. Families are drowning, seniors are terrified, veterans are watching promises break, and our leaders act like this is just politics. At the same time, instead of solving real problems, political leaders distract the public by manufacturing enemies: LGBTQ+ Americans are scapegoated Immigrants are blamed for systemic failures Fear is used as a tool of control Division is treated as strategy That is not leadership. That is cowardice. Americans do not want a government of culture wars and crackdowns. We want a government that can keep people fed, housed, healthy, and free. We are watching a two-tiered system of justice: One set of rules for ordinary Americans Another for the wealthy, connected, and politically protected That is not justice. That is corruption. Congress exists to provide oversight. The President exists to serve the nation. The Attorney General exists to uphold the law. So do your jobs. Hold hearings. Demand transparency. Protect victims. Investigate misconduct. Remove officials who abuse public trust. Refer criminal wrongdoing where evidence supports it. Stop shielding power at the expense of the people. Enough.
