Thanks to Harvard for Standing for Americans! Stand Against Racism, Hate Today

To: Sen. Marshall, Rep. Estes, Sen. Moran

From: A constituent in Wichita, KS

April 14

I commend Harvard University for its principled stand in rejecting the Trump administration’s demands to dismantle its admissions policies and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs. By refusing to comply with efforts to censor curriculum, ban student groups, and enforce ideological conformity, Harvard is defending core American values—freedom of inquiry, academic independence, and equal opportunity (NPR, April 2025). This is about more than one school. These demands are a broader attempt to silence dissent, suppress diversity, and bend institutions to political control. Even under the threat of losing nearly $9 billion in federal funding, Harvard's decision to resist sends a strong and necessary message: our universities should be places of open dialogue, not government-directed propaganda (AP News, April 2025). I urge you to stand with Harvard and against hate, misinformation, and authoritarianism. Support the independence of our educational institutions and the democratic principles they uphold. This is not just about policy—it’s about the future of American freedom.
