Federal law enforcement and congressional oversight need to take a serious look at how platforms like Twitch are allowing creators to openly promote U.S.-designated terrorist organizations to millions of followers. Hasan Piker, with 11.3 million combined followers, has repeatedly and explicitly endorsed Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and the PFLP — all designated terrorist organizations — on his streams and social media. This isn't edgy commentary. He told Pod Save America in April 2026 that he would "vote for Hamas over Israel every single time." That is material support rhetoric delivered to a mass audience with zero consequence. Platforms are not acting. Twitch has suspended Piker before and reinstated him, and the content continues. Meanwhile, Piker is now actively campaigning alongside sitting members of Congress and DSA-backed Senate candidates, mainstreaming this rhetoric into electoral politics. The normalization of terrorist sympathy at this scale is a genuine public safety concern. I want to see your office push for a formal antiterrorism investigation into how platforms like Twitch are handling creators who openly celebrate designated terror groups, and whether existing material support statutes apply to this kind of sustained, monetized promotion.
