Getting money out of politics needs to be top priority. With the Democratic control of both chambers of Congress, as well as a majority of governorships, I urge you to amend the US Constitution to state clearly that corporations are not persons and the money is not speech. Further, beyond that constitutional change, aggressively revise the algorithm for congressional apportionment. There is no defensible reason for the house to be capped at 435 along with the least populous state being granted a representative. Wyoming's congressperson should not be permitted to represent fewer people than a representative from Los Angeles. Use the least populous state to establish the baseline, then apply that same proportion to apply to every precinct in the nation.
The results of the mid term election is a mandate that government of, by, and for the donor class is a failed governing strategy. The people have spoken that they are sick of politics that serves only the donor class and not the working class. Size the moment to drive for structural change to return the government to mortal citizens. Please respond with your plan for getting money out of politics and delivering a government that serves its citizens before it serves its corporations and donors.
