Pope Leo XIV told the truth that most of Washington refuses to hear. He called out the “inhuman treatment of immigrants” in the United States, declaring that no government or politician who supports such cruelty can call themselves “pro-life.”
The White House’s response was immediate and shameful. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt rejected the Pope’s statement outright, claiming there is “no inhumane treatment” of immigrants under this administration. Yet every report, every testimony, and every death in detention tells a different story. People are dying from untreated illnesses, confined for months in isolation cells, and subjected to conditions that human rights monitors describe as torture.
This is not morality. It is not “law and order”. It is cruelty, paid for by taxpayers and defended by politicians.
🫵 You must investigate ICE’s inhuman practices, end the use of solitary confinement for civil detainees, and hold every responsible official accountable.
