I am writing to beg you to vote NO on the "big beautiful" budget bill that was recently passed by the House. Not only does it rip critical food and medicine from the most needy of us in favor of wholly unnecessary tax cuts for the rich, there are insidious provisions within the text that gut the courts, prevent regulation of AI, explode the national debt, and who knows what else was sneaked in under the radar. The CBO has also determind this bill would result in a loss of $3.7 trillion in revenue and increase the national debt by $2.4 trillion, mostly to help billionaires and corporations. When there are Republicans in the House who now regret voting for it, how can you in good conscience support this poison pill? Please, for the good of our state and the nation, VOTE NO.
