Our national parks serve as absolute national treasures. In a time when so many people are working just to survive, national parks and monuments provide an affordable, brief respite from the every day drudgery. DO NOT permit the exploitation of these lands. It is short sighted, ridiculous, and one of the dumbest ideas ever. Here's a novel idea- grow a spine and tax billionaires instead. Despite their whining, the national debt could be solved very quickly.
