Kilmar Abrego Garcia is being unlawfully detained in a prison in El Salvador without due process. The Trump administration has admitted in court that his detainment and incarceration happened by error. The Supreme Court has unanimously ruled to facilitate his return home, but Mr. Trump and his administration have refused to comply with the court's order. This is a direct and flagrant violation of his Constitutional duties and a threat to all Americans. Remember, when Mr. Trump was indicted for a myriad of crimes, he received due process and was found guilty of 34 felonies by a jury of his peers. Kilmar Abrego Garcia has not been accused nor indicted of any crimes and is currently serving a much harsher punishment than Mr. Trump received for crimes he did commit. It is time we stand for the rule of law. We must demand Kilmar Abrego Garcia's safe and speedy return, and demand that ANYONE apprehended on American soil be guaranteed due process. As your constituent, a voting, taxpaying citizen, I must admit that I no longer feel that my friends and family are safe in this country.
