Support Moratorium on Data Centers to Protect Women’s Safety

To: Sen. Merkley, Sen. Wyden, Rep. Dexter

From: A constituent in Portland, OR

March 26

I am writing to urge you to support the Artificial Intelligence Data Center Moratorium Act. As a constituent, I am deeply concerned that the rapid, unregulated expansion of AI data centers is fueling a new era of gender-based violence and exploitation. These facilities provide the computing power for 'unhinged' tools used by abusers for stalking and the creation of non-consensual intimate imagery. We must halt the expansion of this infrastructure until federal law includes strict liability for developers and ironclad protections for women’s safety and digital autonomy. Please co-sponsor this bill and the DEFIANCE Act immediately.
