He opened an investigation into a San Francisco radio station for reporting ICE agent locations. A veteran political reporter whose station Carr targeted put it plainly: "chilling effect does not begin to describe the neutering of our political coverage." That's not a regulator doing his job. That's a government official using federal power to punish the press. Congress has the tools to stop this. Refusing to fund the FCC is a direct, constitutional check on an agency that has been weaponized against the First Amendment.
