I am writing to urge you to oppose any U.S. military escalation or intervention in Iran amid the ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran. The American people do not want another war—especially one based on speculative justifications or the failures of past administrations.
We were lied to about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and we cannot repeat that tragedy. The decision to abandon the Iran nuclear agreement in 2017 destabilized the region, but dragging the U.S. into a new conflict is not the solution. Israel’s actions are its own, and the U.S. must not be forced into another endless war for oil, gas, or geopolitical leverage.
Enough American lives have been lost in Middle Eastern conflicts. Congress must assert its constitutional authority over war-making and demand diplomatic solutions, not military escalation. I urge you to:
1. Publicly oppose U.S. military involvement in any Israel-Iran conflict.
2. Push for re-engagement with credible, multilateral diplomacy to de-escalate tensions.
3. Advocate for an end to policies that prioritize foreign intervention over domestic needs.
The American people are tired of wars that serve no purpose but to enrich the few and devastate the many. We are counting on you to stand for peace.
