Resist cuts on art and humanities

To: Sen. Baldwin, Rep. Van Orden, Sen. Johnson

From: A constituent in Eau Claire, WI

April 8

I am writing to urge you to push back against funding cuts from NEH, IMLS, and other agencies that support the arts, culture, and humanities. Learning about our own history and culture is the only way we as a society can improve and move forward. On the other hand, the arts is important to not just our personal wellbeing, but along with other cultural activities are major drivers of local economy. These cuts are directly hurting our community. The funds have already been allocated by the Congress and are not eligible for capricious cuts by DOGE or the executive branch.
