Vote NO to motion to table articles of impeachment
To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Fallon
From: A constituent in Plano, TX
May 14
As your constituent, I demand you vote NO to the motion to table HR 353. Why?? Here are just a few of the reasons by LAW Donald Trump must be impeached AND removed. 1. Obstruction of Justice: President Trump dismissed 18 federal inspectors general without providing the legally mandated 30-day notice to Congress. This action undermines the system of checks and balances and may violate the Inspector General Act of 1978, which outlines the procedures for removing inspectors general, including the requirement of advance notice to Congress. 2. Abuse of Power: President Trump issued pardons to individuals convicted of crimes related to the January 6 Capitol insurrection, including those individuals who had been found guilty of serious and violent offenses against law enforcement officers. This action undermines the rule of law and may violate the principle that no one is above the law. 3. Undermining Democratic Institutions: President Trump signed an executive order directing the Department of Defense to eliminate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs within the U.S. military. This action disregards due process rights and the principle of non-refoulement, which prohibits returning individuals to countries where they face persecution. It also raises ethical concerns about the humane treatment of migrants and the U.S.’s commitment to human rights. 4. Retaliation Against Federal Employees: An executive order was issued placing federal employees working in DEI roles on paid leave and warning of adverse consequences if they continued DEI-related activities. Targeting federal employees based on their involvement in DEI initiatives constitutes retaliation and may violate federal employment laws, including protections against discrimination and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. This action suppresses efforts to promote diversity and inclusion within the federal workforce, undermining equal opportunity principles. 5. Constitutional Violations: Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.), who served as lead counsel in President Trump’s first impeachment, stated that President Trump has committed “dozens of impeachable offenses” since retaking office one month ago. Goldman cited violations of the Constitution and actions that undermine the rule of law. Rise above your party. BE A PATRIOT. BE AN AMERICAN. We are watching. We are active voters who can vote you OUT next election. You know this is the right thing to do.
