As your constituent I want to remind you the public does not take kindly to harm that is done to our military heroes. This is a bipartisan reality. Especially when it comes from individuals who failed to serve in our military themselves. The silence from our Oklahoma Congressional delegation as the Trump Administration wrongly attacks Senator Kelly is embarrassing. We all understand the Oklahoma Delegation is fearful of standing up to the Trump Administration and unwilling to uphold the Oklahoma Standard but remaining silent is unacceptable. The facts are the facts. Senator Kelly spoke out on military members’ right to not follow UNLAWFUL orders. This is the law of our great nation. Every US citizen has the right under the first amendment to voice this reality. The ongoing attempt to sensor free speech is wrong and it’s more embarrassing than anything the Biden Administration did. Do the right thing. Protect Senator Kelly’s right to free speech. I don’t expect you enjoy the idea President Donald Trump could issue illegal orders, just as he did on January 6th, 2021 to a massive crowd of US citizens, but he is completely capable of doing so and you should encourage leaders to voice the laws. Trying to pretend Senator Kelly said anything other than “military members are required not to follow UNLAWFUL orders” is absolutely wrong, legally and morally. Senator Kelly has already been through enough in life. A hardcore Republican shot his wife in the head in Tucson, AZ. Since republicans are already responsible for this type of suffering, the Republican Party should protect him from further undue suffering.
