The executive order in data centers is not enough. It is far from enough. It doesn’t pause or ban them. It doesn’t stop projects from proceeding. It doesn’t end the tax break for Big Tech. It doesn’t have a clean energy requirement. I know you could do better. You chose not to. You have the ability to ban data centers in our state. You failed to do so. You failed to even pause! Governors in New York and Texas (Texas!! Texas should not be more progressive in pursuing this than we are!!) have already paused data center development in their states. Maryland deserves to have data center development paused. Please reconsider. Please sign a new executive order that pauses data center development.
