Stop the steal of govt data. Protect our cyber security

To: Rep. Schmidt

From: A constituent in Pittsburg, KS

February 5

Musk has been granted access to sensitive government data, including Social Security and Medicare payment systems, without proper oversight. This unprecedented move not only violates privacy laws but also undermines the trust and security of American citizens’ personal information. It represents the largest data breach in U.S. history, yet the federal government continues to look the other way while Musk exploits the privacy and security of millions of Americans. Allowing one individual to control and manipulate vast amounts of sensitive data without oversight poses a direct threat to our democracy, national security, and the personal freedoms of your constituents. It is unacceptable that the president has actively enabled this, furthering corporate overreach at the expense of the American people. I urge you to take immediate action by: • Publicly condemning this breach and demanding transparency regarding Musk’s actions. • Pushing for congressional investigations into how this data was obtained, stored, and potentially misused. • Calling for federal and state-level lawsuits to hold Musk accountable for his unlawful data collection and violations of privacy laws. • Supporting legislation to strengthen protections against unauthorized data collection and corporate abuse of personal information. This issue is too important to ignore. The American people deserve representatives who will fight against unchecked corporate power and government complacency. I urge you to take a stand, demand accountability, and ensure that no individual—no matter how wealthy or powerful—is above the law. This deserves your full attention.
