Please vote for the bill which the House just passed to extend enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies. Your constituents are suffering. Without these subsidies, people will die, more Kansas providers, especially rural hospitals will close, and emergency rooms will become even more overburdened. And there will be a dramatic i crease in the homeless and underhoused: lack of affordable healthcare has been the number one reason for housing crises for decades. The ACA has helped millions of people, but insurers still profit far more than individuals, with premiums escalating way beyond affordability without this help. Your party has never offered any alternative. Until you have a better answer, you have a moral imperative to vote yes.
