This morning I learned, and then verified, that since the shutdown the USDA website has posted a banner that reads, "Due to the Radical Left Democrat shutdown, this government website will not be updated during the funding lapse. President Trump has made it clear he wants to keep the government open and support those who feed, fuel, and clothe the American people." I am outraged, both as a citizen and a federal employee, with this blatant violation of the Hatch Act by a major government organization and the administration's encouragement of such behavior. I ask that you hold the Office of the Special Counsel to the requirements of their office to prosecute any and all reports of Hatch Act violations and that they continue to stand firm as they push back against the unlawfulness of the budget Bill.
