I'm writing to demand that you do your jobs and stop the current administration's absolute destruction of the American Dream. We were promised that America would be great again. It is not great. In less than 100 days into this admin, we have seen our social security, medicare, VA benefits and more slashed with little regard for the consequences to everyday Americans. In the last week, due to a poorly executed plan, we have watched our stock market plunge to 1929 levels. This is not making America Great unless you count the Depression that followed great. We are watching our country lose face all around the world. Where once we had allies, we have countries warning their citizens not to come here. All tourism from Canada, Europe, Great Britain and other nations has slid to a near halt. Thereby impacting the economy even more. Conservative financial magazines predict a recession to follow. How is this making America Great? I know that I and my friends and family don't feel liberated. How can we when we are losing everything we worked years to build up? How can we feel liberated when the American Dream is literally imploding in front of our very eyes day by day, minute by minute? And how can we when the people we elected to represent us in the national government continue to worry more about their next election than about US? Do not think only Democrats and Independent voters are contacting you or expressing these concerns. I've spoken to my Republican friends and they are equally as concerned as they watch years of hard work and commitment to this party crumble around them. They may not have fully understood what the consequences of a second Trump administration would do to them personally. But now they do. And rest assured, there will be a reckoning when they, and I, show up to vote again. Unless, of course, you manage to steal that basic American liberty from us too.
