While I recognize the importance of fiscal responsibility, I believe that targeting established companies and terminating existing contracts is a dangerous and wasteful approach. These firms provide essential technical support and services, and their contributions are often mission-critical to both state and federal operations. Abruptly halting ongoing projects could lead to wasted resources, delayed initiatives, and significant disruptions. The economic consequences for Louisiana could be particularly severe. Our state relies on the employment opportunities, expertise, and community support that these companies provide. Layoffs or reductions in their operations would not only impact workers and their families but also ripple through our local economy, affecting small businesses, service providers, and public resources. I urge you to advocate on behalf of Louisiana's workforce and economy by addressing this issue with federal agencies and decision-makers. Specifically, I ask that you: 1. Request a thorough review of all contracts to ensure that critical work continues uninterrupted. 2. Oppose blanket terminations and advocate for a case-by-case evaluation of each contract's necessity and impact. 3.
