Reject the redrawing of the Texas congressional districts

To: Sen. Eckhardt, Rep. Cole

From: A verified voter in Austin, TX

July 21

The Republican efforts to aggressively redraw Texas' congressional districts raise significant concerns about partisan gerrymandering and the disenfranchisement of voters. Manipulating district boundaries solely for partisan gain undermines principles of fair representation and risks marginalizing certain communities. While some redistricting is required after each census, it should be done impartially to ensure all voters have an equal voice, not to give one party an unfair advantage. I urge you to reject proposals that would radically gerrymander districts and instead insist on a nonpartisan process that protects the integrity of our elections and the fundamental rights of all Texans to have their voices heard.
