I am a mother, teacher, and proud member of my community in Waukesha, Wisconsin. I am concerned about the tremendous amount of power being given to those such as Elon Musk, an unelected official.
Repeatedly he and the president state that their current decisions are prompted by a desire to save money and reduce the federal budget. However, Elon Musk and his companies have millions of dollars of contracts with the government and more are being proposed. This is a stark and sure conflict of interest.
What I see is not budget, but the taking of money from programs that help the most vulnerable among us in areas of humanitarian aid, schools, refugee assistance, and equity programs. I do not see equal amounts of money being taken from large corporations such as those belonging to Elon Musk.
Please call for the removal of Musk and initiatives such as DOGE that are not in place to serve the American people. They are in place to serve certain people who already have power and money. Please speak up for those without it, who you were elected to serve.
