Stop waiting. The democratic socialist agenda Bernie Sanders put forward a decade ago has proven itself — in elections, in polling, and in governance. A third of Democrats now identify as democratic socialists. Voters across the board are more turned off by MAGA candidates than by self-described democratic socialists. The political risk you've been hiding behind doesn't exist anymore.
The results are in front of you. There are now more than 250 socialists holding elected office across the country. New York City is run by one. Seven socialists will sit in the US House next year. Zohran Mamdani, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and others built their careers on Sanders's platform and won. The ideas work. The voters are there. What's missing is the courage from Democrats in Congress to get on board.
Single-payer health care, free public college, real housing protections — these aren't radical fringe positions. They're what most people want. Get behind them now.
