A new poll from Lake Research Partners shows 52% of likely voters support impeaching President Trump, including 55% of Independents. This is unprecedented support for impeachment just 14 months into a presidential term. The grounds are clear and serious. Trump has abused his role as commander in chief to commit atrocities violating US and international law in Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. He recently threatened more war crimes against Iran after a joint Israel-US attack closed the Strait of Hormuz. He has also weaponized ICE and federal law enforcement to punish political opposition, disrupt communities, and suppress lawful dissent. Donald Trump poses a direct threat to our Constitution and to the rule of law. The American people understand this. Your constituents need you to act on it.
