I would ask both of you talk to Chuck Schumer and change his mind. The option that he cites is probably the worst thing you could do at this point and it shows a spineless action. The CR can't be passed to allow musk and Trump to take over the Congressional spending and do whatever they want. I would issue the point that this is completely against the structure of the Constitution which demands the balance of power and checks for this government to operate. This is a hard line that must be drawn and government shutdown is on the Republicans. Speak to Schumer and share My views. Thank you.
