I write to you today deeply troubled by the unfolding humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, where starvation is being used as a weapon of war, with civilians facing widespread malnutrition and death.
The World Health Organization, along with other media outlet like the Associated Press and Reuters, have confirmed the rising death tolls that we seem streamed into our phones. People collapsing to their death waiting for food that will never arrive. This genocide is the responsibility of the United States. It is funded by my labor and tax dollars. This is co-signed by you.
Without decisive action, the situation will only worsen and more children - more HUMANS - will die. I urge you to use your power to push for the following urgent measures:
1) Demand immediate and unrestricted access to Gazan crossings for at least 500–600 aid trucks per day, consistent with UN recommendations.
2) Insist on a principled, UN-led distribution system, not a military-backed scheme that lures the starving, which has led to preventable deaths at aid points.
3) Support emergency delivery of therapeutic food and medical supplies, including funding for UNICEF and WHO to replace depleted stocks of therapeutic foods like infant formula and key malnutrition treatments.
4) Advocate for a ceasefire through diplomatic channels and stop funding Israel. How is it possible that a psychopath like Marjorie Taylor Green is more willing to cut funding than you are?
This crisis is neither abstract nor distant. It is in our pockets, and these are real souls. Thousands, especially young children, are literally dying of hunger while essential supplies sit blocked just beyond Gaza’s borders.
As your constituent, I urge you to stand with life and human dignity - things you claim to do. There is a lot happening in our country, but this is happening because of us. Please work to hold other decision‑makers like yourself accountable and secure relief for those in Gaza whose very survival hangs in the balance.
