I am writing again regarding this Republican administration violating the U.S. Constitution by denying due process in rendeing people to foreign prisons beyond U.S. jurisdiction..
The administration has also ignored, with impunity, the Supreme Court rulings regarding those illegal renditions, specifically that of Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador.
Now we learn the administration has denied due process to a two-year-old U.S. citizen rendered to Honduras. A two-year-old. U.S. citizen. With no accountability for the administration.
Is the United States Constitution no longer valid? Are we no longer a country guided by rule of law?
These are the actions one would expect in Venezuela, in Hungary, in Russia.
These are not the actions of a democratic republic. They are the acts of an authoritarian regime.
If the administration will not stop these illegal renditions, and the Supreme Court cannot, it falls to Congress to stop them. You and your colleagues have the power to put an end to these injustices and restore the authority of the Constitution.
My wife and I implore you, again, to fulfil your vow to uphold the Constitution, hold this Republican administration accountable for its actions and put an end to these atrocities.
