Rebuke Executive overreach, restore Congressional war authority!

To: Rep. Weber, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in League City, TX

June 24

It is unacceptable that President Trump attacked a foreign nation without provocation and without even consulting the US Congress, which the Constitution has clearly given the sole authority to declare war. Absolutely unacceptable. I refuse to watch you sit and tolerate the Executive’s erosion of the Legislative’s rights and powers further. I demand that you support S.J.Res. 59 in the Senate and H.Con.Res. 38 in the House, and also publicly call for the President to be held accountable for breaching (AGAIN) the separation of powers that forms the foundation of US governmental philosophy. Think of your dignity and your legacy; will history think of you as an enabler to a tyrant? You have the power to change that, and as your constituent I demand that you do so.
