As your constituent, I urge you to support legislation for our state to join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. The compact would ensure that, once participating states together hold a majority of electoral votes, their electors go to the presidential candidate who wins the most votes nationwide. It would make every vote count the same, encourage candidates to reach voters across the country, and help ensure that the candidate chosen by the most voters becomes president. Please introduce, support, and advance legislation for our state to join the compact. We have the momentum. Let’s make it so. Thank you for your time and for representing our community. I would appreciate hearing your position on this issue.
