I'm calling to urge the Senator to restore full funding for weather and climate research and prediction in the budget reconciliation bill and this year's appropriations process. These cuts have hurt our weather forecasts, stopped essential weather and climate research, and endangered lives. And since our FEMA director is unqualified for his job—he literally didn’t know we have a hurricane season —accurate weather forecasts are all the more urgent. Folks won’t get the help they need after a disaster, so at the very least they need to know about weather events in advance. Thanks. Can you also call for the resignation of RFK Jr while you are at it? I am worried about him cutting funding for research. My daughter has a chronic autoimmune condition that desperately requires research so all these families suffering with PANS/PANDAS can actually have treatment paths. IVIG is a pretty extreme treatment, can have major side effects, doesn’t always work, and can take many sessions to work. IVIG requires your kid to be hooked up to an IV for 7 hours, 2 days in a row. And this is often repeated once a month: and it’s very expensive! Please please please try to get RFK Jr out so at least there’s a chance more research on P/P can be done. Thank you.
