RFK Jr. released new childhood vaccination guidelines and new nutrition guidelines.
He and the staff he installed have decided to reduce the number of recommended childhood vaccines by 6. That includes not vaccinating for meningitis, hepatitis A or Hepatitis B. We have already had deaths of infants from Hepatitis B as it is spread by casual contact and is more transmissible than HIV.
He has also released new nutrition guidance. In it he discarded decades of scientifically based nutrition guidance and decided that Americans need to eat more red meat and consume more whole milk. Of course, those clog arteries, increase bad (low density) cholesterol and significantly lead to an increased risks of stroke, heart attack and death. He suggests, without evidence, that such a diet poses no risk to healthy individuals. Research shows that that it actually makes people sicker and increases the risk of serious illness and death.
Congress has both the authority and the obligation to act. I urge you to:
1. Hold immediate oversight hearings on the CDC’s revised immunization schedule, and nutrition guidance including whether established scientific advisory processes were bypassed or politicized.
2. Use legislative and appropriations powers to protect evidence-based vaccine policy, public health communication, and universal access to routine immunizations
3. Use your legislative authority to restore federal nutrition guidance to include scientific evidence-based nutrition guidance to help save lives, not rush them to an earlier grave
3. Move to remove Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from office.
His actions demonstrate a disregard for scientific, evidence based, peer reviewed recommendations that we as tax payers pay for and need. He has put his flawed ideology ahead of public health by willfully disregarding decades of scientific evidence. He is not fit to serve as he endangers public health.
