Hakeem Jeffries needs to go as House Democratic leader. He just went on national television and said he does not support Medicare for All — a position that puts him squarely on the side of the insurance and pharmaceutical industries and against the millions of working people Democrats are supposed to represent. While Rep. Ro Khanna is pushing for a floor vote on Medicare for All, Jeffries is blocking it. That's not leadership. That's corporate protection. The Democratic Party cannot keep running on the same tired playbook while its own leader refuses to fight for the policies voters actually want. Jeffries doesn't speak for my district or my values. I want my representative to publicly call for new Democratic House leadership — someone who will actually take on the corporate interests that are bankrupting families, not shield them.
