URGENT: Demand for Immediate Enforcement of the Epstein Files Transparency Act
To: Sen. Cruz, Rep. Roy, Sen. Cornyn
From: A constituent in Bandera, TX
February 25
I am writing to express my absolute fury regarding the Department of Justice’s blatant and illegal obstruction of the Epstein Files Transparency Act. The statutory deadline for the full, unredacted release of these files was December 19, 2025. We are now well into 2026, and it is clear that Attorney General Pam Bondi and the DOJ are intentionally withholding critical records to protect the President and his associates.
The DOJ’s claim that they have "met their obligations" is a provable lie. Recent oversight findings have identified:
- Intentional Withholding: More than 50 pages of FBI interviews and evidence logs involving direct allegations against Donald Trump have been scrubbed or never uploaded.
- Illegal Redactions: The law explicitly forbids redactions based on "reputational harm" or "political sensitivity," yet the DOJ continues to black out the names of powerful figures while negligently exposing the private data of victims.
- Contempt of Law: The DOJ is currently in defiance of bipartisan House Oversight Committee subpoenas.
This is not a matter of "administrative delay"—it is a coordinated cover-up. By allowing the DOJ to pick and choose which parts of the law to follow, you are signaling that the executive branch is above the law.
I demand that you:
1. Initiate Contempt of Congress proceedings against Attorney General Pam Bondi immediately.
2. Force an independent audit of the DOJ’s document database to account for the "missing" serial numbers and withheld FBI files.
3. Publicly demand the resignation of any official found to be tampering with or removing files mandated for public release.
The American people were promised full transparency. Every day these files remain hidden is a day you are complicit in this obstruction. I expect a response detailing the specific actions you are taking to end this DOJ stonewalling.
Enough is enough. Release the files in their entirety now.
