Go on record before November 3. Announce publicly that you will not participate in any attempt by Trump and Speaker Johnson to deny Democratic members-elect their rightful seats in the 120th Congress on January 3, 2027. That announcement needs to come now, not after the votes are counted. Trump has already told Dan Bongino on February 2 that "Republicans should take over the voting." His administration has spent months dragooning House Republicans into prejudging the November elections as fraudulent before a single ballot is cast. The plan is clear: replace House Clerk Kevin McCumber with a loyalist who will refuse to list Democratic representatives-elect on the roll, triggering a constitutional crisis that could paralyze the country for months and leave us defenseless against threats from China, Russia, and elsewhere. Every member of Congress swore an oath to defend the Constitution. That oath means honoring the will of the American electorate. Barry Goldwater put country before party in 1974. This moment demands the same courage. History will not be kind to those who stayed silent while democracy was dismantled from the inside. Stand up now.
