I am writing to express my strong opposition to the candidacy of Pam Bondi for Attorney General. It is with great concern that I highlight her extreme anti-abortion stance and her continued rejection of established scientific consensus, both of which make her unfit to serve in a role that demands impartiality, fairness, and a commitment to protecting the rights of all citizens. Pam Bondi's record on reproductive rights is deeply troubling. Her unwavering opposition to abortion access—regardless of circumstance—poses a direct threat to the fundamental rights of women and individuals seeking reproductive healthcare. As Attorney General, Bondi would have the power to influence laws that impact personal freedoms, including the ability to make private medical decisions. It is unacceptable that she is willing to impose her personal beliefs on others, disregarding any constitutional protections. Furthermore, Pam Bondi's dismissal of scientific evidence undermines the credibility and effectiveness of the office she seeks to hold. As Attorney General, one must approach complex legal issues with an open mind, grounded in facts and sound reasoning. Bondi’s refusal to acknowledge climate change, vaccine science, and other well-documented areas of research is not only irresponsible but dangerous. The role of Attorney General requires a leader who prioritizes public safety and the well-being of all citizens—qualities that Bondi has demonstrated little commitment to when it comes to science and evidence-based policy. It is essential that the Attorney General's office be led by someone who will fight for justice, protect the rights of all individuals, and make decisions based on facts, not ideology. Pam Bondi’s track record suggests she will do the opposite: restricting access to essential healthcare and prioritizing extreme, personal beliefs over the law and the public good. I urge you to consider these concerns carefully and reject Pam Bondi's candidacy for Attorney General.
