Trump's descent into madness is a threat to our republic and to global stability. The 25th Amendment exists for moments when a president is unable or unwilling to discharge the duties of the office in a way that safeguards the nation. Invocation of Section 4 would allow the vice president and a majority of the cabinet to declare Trump unfit and temporarily transfer power. If that path is blocked, impeachment and removal remain the constitutional remedy for a president whose actions threaten the security and stability of the United States. I expect you to act NOW. It’s your job. You must summon the courage. It’ll be the most important thing you ever do for the USA. Americans deserve leaders who strengthen democracy rather than tear it down.
