First, I’m deeply concerned that Jared Kushner is serving as an envoy in the Middle East while also soliciting billions of dollars from Gulf monarchies for his private business ventures. It is a staggering conflict of interest. I understand that Rep. Jamie Raskin has opened a probe in the House into Kushner’s possible corruption. I’d like the Senate to do one as well. Second, I know the Senate is negotiating a FISA re-authorization bill right now and I want to be very clear: I oppose a “clean” re-authorization. FISA Section 702 must be reformed to close the data broker loophole and stop the warrantless searches. Without those changes the Senator must vote no. Thanks.
