I'm writing to demand that your sign the impeachment articles against RFK Jr. for endangering public health. After months of escalating outbreaks, reckless decisions, and repeated vaccine misinformation, accountability has finally begun.
The timing could not be more urgent.
That’s right, the United States is approaching a measles outbreak tipping point. Public health experts warn that declining vaccination rates are allowing a disease once considered eliminated to regain a foothold. Measles spreads faster than almost any virus, and when vaccination coverage drops, outbreaks become inevitable.
At the same time, RFK Jr. oversaw the removal of the hepatitis B vaccine at birth from the list of vaccines guaranteed by the federal government. That decision directly increases risk for newborns and sends a dangerous signal about the future of routine childhood vaccination policy in this country.
Congress has now taken the first step toward accountability. But impeachment only succeeds if public pressure forces lawmakers to follow through. Without sustained outrage, leadership will stall, committees will bury the process, and RFK Jr. will remain in power while outbreaks worsen.
Measles hospitalizes children. It causes permanent complications. It kills. Public health only works when leaders respect evidence and science. RFK Jr. has done the opposite, repeatedly and publicly.
Instead of responding to this crisis, RFK Jr. has continued to push long-debunked claims linking vaccines to autism, using the authority of his office to legitimize conspiracy theories. These claims have been rejected for decades by every major medical and scientific body. Yet he continues to repeat them, eroding trust in vaccines and encouraging parents to delay or skip immunizations
