I am urging you to support senate bill 471. The minimum wage is Kansas is abysmal. Prices for everything have skyrocketed and the cost of living used to be affordable, but is not anymore. Do your part to support your constituents. Do your part so you can look your family and distant relatives in the eye. Wages HAVE to keep up with prices or no one will be able to afford to live here. Wichita has several development projects planned and raising the minimum wage would help attract more people and increase economic involvement. 7.25 was set in Kansas in 2010 after the economic crash. 7.25 an hour is completely unacceptable. No one can live off that anymore and ALL work is worth more. If you deny this raised minimum wage, you are showing how little regard you have for your citizens and we will have no choice but to replace you with someone who understands. Make the right choice. RAISE THE WAGE.
