Please support the Guardian ad Litem Board and their budget increase Senate File 2857 (Westlin) Guardians ad Litem desperately need wage increases as they only start at $23 an hour. Last year GALs advocated for 12,000 children in 6,700 Court cases. GALs are legally mandated to serve on child welfare cases, family court cases and ICWA, Indian Child Welfare Act cases. However funding for pay increases, volunteer programming and operations has been an area of need for some time. Please support the Guardian ad Litem Program as they look out for the best interest of Minnesota's children.
