Jack Smith is a patriot. In my view, your loyalty to Donald Trump over our Constitution is a betrayal of the country you swore to serve. You can talk, debate, and spin your defense all you want, but history will tell a different story. It will judge whether you defended the rule of law or helped undermine it to protect a powerful man. Watching Republican senators question Jack Smith, I was struck by how poorly prepared they appeared and how little they seemed to understand the material they were discussing. Your supposed gotcha moments made the GOP look foolish. I laughed—and made several memes about the spectacle. Turning yourselves into a laughingstock: great look right before the midterms. As a Texan, I see little in your leadership that improves our lives. I see political theater, division, and loyalty to an administration whose corruption I find palpable. I believe you are helping move our country toward fascism while leaving ordinary Americans poorer and less secure. Texas deserves a senator who serves its people. America deserves leaders with the courage to hold a president accountable. Instead, you have chosen to act as Trump’s and the Epstein’s class lapdog. Your oath was to the Constitution—not to Donald Trump. History will remember your choice.
