As a constituent and a mother, I’m writing to ask you to take immediate action to stop the Gaza genocide and stop arming Israel. The Israeli military is killing Palestinian people at an appalling rate. Israel has been repeatedly bombing Gaza and massacring entire Palestinian families living trapped under siege, in constant bombings since Oct. 7, 2023. This is a genocide. The United States government continues funding the armaments of the Israeli military occupation, even as Israel continues deadly bombing massacres in Gaza and invasions of communities across the West Bank. I urge you to support the Ceasefire Now resolution H.Res. 786 introduced by Representatives Cori Bush, Rashida Tlaib, Andre Carson, Summer Lee, and Delia Ramirez. I also urge you to support The People's Response Act and H.R. 3103 the Defending Palestinian Children and Families Living Under Israeli Military Occupation Act. On this Mother’s Day, as a mother, I ask that you support the safety and wellbeing of mothers and children in Palestine by doing the following. -Demand an immediate, permanent ceasefire and humanitarian aid entry to Gaza, and support the Ceasefire Now resolution H.Res. 786. -Stop sending $3.8 billion a year to the Israeli military occupation. As the bare minimum, support H.R. 3103 the Defending Palestinian Children and Families Living Under Israeli Military Occupation Act, which would prohibit U.S. tax dollars from funding the Israeli military’s land theft, destruction of Palestinian homes, and imprisonment of Palestinian children.
