Trump is defying the Supreme Court and must be impeached and removed.

To: Rep. Salinas, Sen. Merkley, Sen. Wyden

From: A constituent in Salem, OR

April 25

The Supreme Court ordered Trump to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was wrongly detained and sent to a prison camp with no trial. He refused. The Supreme Court ordered Trump to allow press members from all news sources into his press conferences. He refused. A president who defies Supreme Court orders is in violation of the U.S. Constitution, which presidents are sworn to protect during their inauguration. And yet both political parties in Congress are reluctant to act, either to begin impeachment proceedings or to demand his removal. Why? It can't be because removing a president is "disruptive." Everything Trump and Musk are doing is massively disruptive. It can't be because it is unprecedented. Everything this administration has done so far is unprecedented. How much more can this administration get away with before Congress finally does its duty to protect our Constitutional rights? How many people will die before anyone decides that maybe someone ought to do something? It's long past time to take action. The American people have taken to the streets in protest after protest, demanding action. Congress must demand action now. Impeach and remove this would-be dictator and dismantle his fascist Cabinet before it's too late.
