As a constituent residing in Oakdale, California, I am writing to express my grave concern about the ongoing damage being inflicted on our nation under the leadership of Donald Trump. Specifically, I urge you to pursue immediate action—either through impeachment proceedings or invocation of the 25th Amendment—to remove him from office before the economic devastation deepens further.
Trump’s reckless and incoherent tariff policies are wreaking havoc on the U.S. economy. His so-called “trade strategy” is nothing more than a dangerous game of economic roulette. Tariffs—levied without sound economic reasoning or international coordination—are now falling squarely on the shoulders of everyday Americans. Working families, the poor, and the middle class are paying the price through skyrocketing costs on essential goods, including medication, food, housing materials, and basic household necessities.
What’s worse, many of these trade penalties conveniently spare authoritarian regimes like Russia and Hungary—countries that should never be given economic favors by an American president under any circumstances. This selective targeting only raises more questions about Trump's motivations and loyalties.
These actions are not just misguided—they are destabilizing and destructive. They show a complete lack of understanding of basic economic principles and global interdependence. If he were a CEO, he'd have been removed by his board long ago for gross incompetence and endangering the future of the company.
The American people cannot afford to wait. We need leaders in Congress to STOP placating Trump with everything he wants, and act like the Co-Equal Branch of Government that they are whole using their Oversight power to do what is right and necessary. Whether through impeachment for abuse of power and gross dereliction of duty, or through invoking the 25th Amendment on the grounds of unfitness to lead, YOU MUST ACT NOW.
Enough is enough. The cost of inaction will be paid by the most vulnerable among us—and by generations to come. You swore an oath to protect this country and its people. Now is the time to honor that oath with courage and clarity.
