I urge you to take a vocal stand on Israel. As a Jewish constituent of yours, please know how many Jews like me feel less safe in the world with Israel attacking Iran and continuing its hideous genocide against Palestinians. It’s a disgrace to remain quiet. We can stand with Israelis and we can stand with Jewish people while forcefully objecting to the unacceptable behavior of the Israeli leadership. Please stand up! Please get your colleagues to do the same. Get everyone to worry less about how it might poll and more about how it is to have power and remain quiet (or worse, supportive) when an alleged ally is going after civilians. If this were Russia and not Israel, you and your colleagues would be vociferous! People must stop stretching the definition of “a right to defend oneself” to mean “anything goes.”
