I’m writing today as a constituent and asking that you vote No to confirm both Kash Patel and Robert Kennedy Jr. I believe Kash Patel to not only be unqualified but a danger that shouldn’t be put in a position of power at the FBI. The FBI might have its faults but it’s there to keep us, we the people, safe. It’s clear his intentions will be to turn the FBI against the administration’s enemies while gutting it from the inside, making America less safe and vulnerable in the process. He’s a deep state conspiracy theorist and a promoter of QAnon and has made claims that the FBI committed false flag operations. Dangerous conspiracy theories with no basis in reality that he has consistently continued to promote. This man is not fit to lead. He’s already talked about going after journalists. This is a direct attack against First Amendment rights and I don’t support putting a man in a position to go after Americans he deems “enemies” and remaking the FBI to be a personal goon squad. The FBI is meant to protect us at home from those who wish to do us harm, like terrorists. Not wage personal battles against those deemed “enemies” for using their First Amendment right to free speech. As for RFK Jr. the man is unfit. He also promotes dangerous conspiracy theories and opinions based on junk science with no basis in scientific fact. He is not a medical professional or scientist and has ZERO background to suggest that he is fit to run the HHS. He has zero understanding of Medicare and Medicaid and how they work. He knows nothing about public health, drug safety, disease prevention. He has NO healthcare background or no experience being in charge of a department like this. His family has spoken out against him. The stories he tells about himself are insane. He said worms ate his brain. Please. The man is mentally unwell, unfit, and not fit to be in control of healthcare in the US, nor our access to vaccinations. He is anti-science and a menace that I’m begging you not to confirm. I’m not asking you to vote no on everyone but both of these men are wholly unqualified to make decisions that directly impact the safety of millions of Americans. They will not protect the health of millions of Americans simply because they are inept, unqualified, and a danger to the health and safety of the American people, and Texans, who you are meant to represent and protect. I’m asking you to protect the First Amendment. Protect the right to safe and AVAILABLE vaccinations, healthcare, public health, disease prevention. Don’t let those with conspiracies against the very government agencies they’re meant to lead take control of these positions. Tell Trump to find someone more qualified who will protect the health, safety, rights of Americans. Who will keep us safe from harm and danger, not give them the keys to the very kingdoms they are set to destroy. Please do this for the American people. We deserve qualified leaders, not those with personal agendas.
