On the president’s budget.

Your president’s budget proposes to eliminate critical programs like Job Corps, LIHEAP energy assistance, multiple affordable housing initiatives at HUD, and the Fair Housing Initiatives Program. It also slashes funding for worker protections, TSA, FEMA disaster grants, NOAA disaster monitoring, NIH research, and rural job programs — while ballooning military spending to $1.5 trillion. All for a stupid, poorly thought-out war. That $445 billion increase to the Pentagon could instead fund 🇺🇸 school lunches for 30 million kids for their entire K-12 education 🇺🇸 a full year of health care for 55.8 million Americans 🇺🇸 a full year of child care for 32 million kids. This proposal is more than just bad policy. It’s a betrayal of the American taxpayers. It slashes the safety net, weakens civil rights enforcement, and redirects every dollar possible toward militarization and corporate priorities. The result? Higher poverty rates, and communities left vulnerable. You have the power to stop this. Vote AGAINST this proposal, and fight to protect funding for affordable housing, job training, energy assistance, medical research, and programs that support our communities.
