Another U.S. citizen has been killed in cold blood by federal agents in Minneapolis. Alex Pretti—an ICU nurse—was trying to help someone who had been shoved to the ground by federal officers. Instead, he was brutally beaten and shot ten times. The Trump administration is lying when it claims Pretti threatened federal agents. Multiple videos clearly show he was holding a phone in one hand and using his empty hand to shield his face from pepper spray. There was no threat—only excessive force. The terror being inflicted on Minneapolis and cities across the country by ICE and CBP must stop. Donald Trump and Stephen Miller are waging war on the United States and its people. Federal goons are killing Americans who are exercising their constitutional rights in public streets. This is happening now. It cannot continue. We the people are protected by the Bill of Rights. We have the right to free speech, a free press, peaceful assembly, and protest. We have the right to due process. We have the right to be secure in our homes—without fear that federal agents, acting without judicial warrants, can kick in our doors and drag us away. This is a moment of decision for Republicans in Congress. A make-or-break moment. You can stand with the American people, with democracy, with our communities, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights—or you can side with Stephen Miller, neo-Nazis, and those working to turn the United States into a fascist state. It would take only sixteen Republican members of Congress to stop this. You and fifteen others. If Republicans want any chance of reelection in 2026, 2028, or ever again, now is the moment to act. If your party wants a future, you must rein in ICE and remove Stephen Miller. If enough Republicans say “enough,” this can be stopped. It cannot go on for three more years. You must choose between American democracy and a regime that is actively destroying it. History is watching. Do the right thing.
