Last night Trump gave orders that violate the Constitution. As you know better than anyone, Congress has the power of the purse. Trump's illegal order trying to seize that power by freezing federal funding is a coup attempt to consolidate all power in the presidency and sideline Congress's powers. It will produce chaos and devastation across the nation and the world. Our state needs to act, immediately and strongly, against this lawless dictatorial act. Stop this slide into autocracy.
