The current "drip-feed" release of documents by the Department of Justice is unacceptable. Investigative journalists and experts have publicly criticized this process as a calculated effort to fatigue the public and protect powerful individuals. The redaction of faces in incriminating photographs and the withholding of files related to politically sensitive figures suggest a two-tiered justice system: one for the average citizen, and one for the "Epstein Class." Transparency is not a partisan request; it is a mandate for equal justice. I am urging you to take the following three concrete actions: 1. Co-Sponsor and Pass the "Epstein Files Disclosure Act" immediately. Support the bipartisan legislation (led by Reps. Khanna and Massie) that forces the total, unredacted release of all government records related to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. If you have not yet co-sponsored this bill, I ask that you do so today. 2. Reject any "Poison Pill" Senate Amendments. Be vigilant against attempts to water down this legislation in the Senate. We do not accept amendments that add loopholes for "national security" or "privacy" that are thinly veiled attempts to shield embarrassed elites. The bill must pass in a form that guarantees total transparency. 3. Initiate Oversight Hearings on DOJ Redactions. Use your committee powers to demand answers from the Department of Justice. Congress must summon officials to testify under oath about why specific files are being withheld, why faces of perpetrators are being blurred, and why the release has been delayed for years.
